Preparation of various smoothie practically does not require recipes – mix everything and drink :). The main thing is to choose the right ingredients, which, of course, will differ depending on what goal you set for yourself: to fill up, refresh, cleanse the body, etc. Banana smoothies are filling and invigorating. From a botanical point of view, banana is a berry, polyspermous and thick-skinned. Cultivated forms often lack seeds, which are unnecessary for vegetative propagation. The fruits have a length of 6-30 cm and a diameter of 2-5 cm. Fruit clusters can consist of 300 fruits and weigh up to 50-60 kg. The banana is an elongated cylindrical fruit, shaped like a crescent, with a dense peel and delicate elastic pulp, slightly oily texture. The color of the pulp varies from whitish-yellow to rich cream. There are a great many varieties of bananas; there are more than a hundred edible ones. Edible bananas are usually divided into two groups – dessert bananas (bananas that are eaten raw, which is what we are all used to seeing on our shelves) and plantains (fruits that require heat treatment and have no taste when fresh).
Bananas are a source of fiber; contain pectin, a substance that helps normalize cholesterol levels; have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects; contain antioxidants, thereby improving the condition of the central nervous system.
Traditionally, bananas are eaten fresh – as an ideal snack, afternoon snack or addition to cottage cheese, yogurt or muesli. Bananas are often used for cold snacks – dessert sandwiches. Banana is great for making cakes and pastries, jellies and fruit salads. Bananas are also fried, dried, dried, baked, added to bread and muffin dough, and used as a raw material for making marmalades, flour and syrups.
