Hello! Every morning at our home starts from hot chocolate milk for my kids. This routine happens because they wake hungry very early (around 5:45 am). So the easiest way make our sons happy so early is chocolate milk. Breakfast is served later, around 6:45 am).

This is the alternative recipe of chocolate milk, where instead cow milk we use cashew milk. It gives really silky and creamy texture. And one secret ingredient makes this hot chocolate so special. Worth to try!

Creamy hot chocolate (lactose-free)


Ingredients:

(For 1 portion):

  • 1/2 cup cashew milk
  • 1 tsp hot chocolate powder or cacao powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1-2 tsp tahini (secret ingredient 😊)
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil

Cooking method:

  1. Pour milk in a saucepan, put in a medium heat, add cacao powder (if prefer deep strong taste and less sweet) or hot chocolate powder (for taste of milk chocolate).
  2. Stir constantly until boiling. Add coconut oil, tahini and maple syrup (if using cacao powder).
  3. Keep it on the heat for about 2-3 minute and serve hot.
