When you don’t have any ideas for lunch just make LINGUINE WITH BROWN BUTTER and CROUTONS!

Only 3 ingredients are needed: pasta, butter and toast bread. Additionally you can add some Parmesan, basil leaves, chilli or any favorite spices.

I am sure if you have kids you freezer is full of bread crust from kids sandwiches.

If not – then you can upgrade the recipe and use a milk toast bread.

You need only 15 minutes to prepare this temptingly good dish. It is easy fall in love LINGUINE WITH BROWN BUTTER with in the buttery and crispy croutons.

Linguine with Brown Butter and Croutons

 


Tasty and aromatic Linguine is ready to be eaten


Ingredients (for 2 portion):

  • 200 g linguine
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 slice of toast bread or bread crust, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 tsp Parmesan cheese

Cooking method:

1. Cook the linguine in a large pot of rapidly boiling salted water for about 12 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, heat the half of butter in a pan, wait till it begins to foam and add the pieces of bread. Fry the bread until golden brown. Then remove it to a bowl and clean the pan with a kitchen towel.

3. Add the rest butter in a pan, heat and wait until it begins to foam and gets brown color.

4. Drain the linguine, leaving for later some water from its cooking. Put the pasta back in a pot, adding the reserved water. Add the cheese, top it with bread croutons and drizzle with brown butter.

5. Mix before serving.
