Tarkovanka is a dish of Belarusian cuisine made from grated raw potatoes. Its peculiarity is a combination of such ingredients as potatoes, apples, raisins (dried fruits) and onions. You can serve it with milk.

“Tarkovanka” – Belarusian cuisine


Ingredients:

  • 3 potatoes
  • 30 g of butter
  • 1/2 onion
  • 50 g raisins
  • 1 apple
  • salt pepper

Instruction:

  1. Finely chop onion and fry in butter. Peel apples from peel and cores, cut into thin strips. Soak raisins in hot water. Peel potatoes, wash, grate on a fine grater, add salt and pepper, fried onions, apples and raisins. All mix well.
  2. Form or molds lubricate abundantly with butter, put there the prepared potato mass.
  3. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes (if one form) and 20-25 minutes (if small molds) at a temperature of 180 ° C.
