Despite the household routine and responsibilities with two small children, my husband and I still manage to invite guests to our home and surprise them at the table with some specialties. The husband, like a real man, drags a mammoth into the house and prepares wonderful meat dishes from it. I collect compliments for flambé shrimp with honey and cognac. Guests are delighted with my pizza, and recently this collection was replenished with Japanese sushi.
When we come to the parental home and celebrate something with the whole family, I want to surprise my parents with my culinary skills as well. It was under such circumstances that the recipe for cheese roll with green onions and surimi (or crab sticks) appeared.
