I think this is one of product that I really love to eat, but feel disgusted with liver while cooking. The rest of the family run away from the kitchen when hearing I am going to cook it. But even this doesn’t stop me! Because chicken liver with apples is just delicious! Worth to try!
Chicken liver with apples
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken liver
- 1/2 onion
- 2 apples
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1 tbsp butter + 1 tsp vegetable oil for frying
- salt and white pepper
Cooking method:
- Wash the liver under the running water. Let it soak for about 20 minutes. Then remove from water and dry it with paper towels. Clean the onion and cut it with half slices. Wash the apples, remove the skin and cut in 8-slices.
- Heat the butter and the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the liver and cook it over a high heat on each side, until just browned.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes then add apples.
- Season it with salt, white pepper and marjoram. Cover the lid and cook until the apples are soft, around 5-7 minutes.
