This dish is very common in Poland. „Peas and carrots” is a perfect side dish to any meat. Easy to cook. Delicious in taste. Worth to try.


Peas and carrots


Ingredients:

  • 250 g frozen peas
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 300 g savory sauce (meat or vegetables, home-made or from a shop)

Cooking method:

  1. Put frozen peas in a pot, add butter, cover the lid and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  2. Cut carrot into cubes and add to the pot with peas.
  3. Meanwhile prepare the sauce: pour any broth into the pot and boil it. Mix 1 tbsp corn flour with 50 ml of cold water, then add it to the broth. Stir well and cook until thickened.
  4. If you got sauce powder from a shop cook it according to the instruction on the package.
  5. Pour sauce into the pot with vegetables and bring it to a boil.
  6. Serve with any meat.
